CQU building used in music video

Country singer/songwriter Melinda Schneider has incorporated footage of CQU's Heritage Post Office in her latest video clip.
The footage will appear on the video of her soon to be released single 'Real People' which is a story set in the Rockhampton region.
"The first line of the song is 'At a roadhouse an hour out of Rocky' so our first video shoot was at the Duaringa Roadhouse" Ms Schneider said, " and we progressed from there to the police station and fire station in Rockhampton, to some local businesses and finally to the beautiful Heritage Post office." Ms Schneider said that she wrote the song with Rockhampton in mind as many of her family still live here and she considers them to be 'real people'.
"In fact," said Ms Schneider, " everyone I have met on this trip from the roadhouse to the police station, from the local small businesses to the university and tourism staff have been 'real people. It is not like Sydney where I live, the people here are so friendly and real." The new album 'Family Tree' is due for release on May 17 and the single will be on sale 'in a couple of weeks time'.
