Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

The CQUniversity Bookshop and Interactive Publications are launching three provocative new books on Friday September 5 from 3pm on the Rockhampton campus.

Interested persons are invited to join IP Director and multi-award winning author Dr David Reiter and Walkley award nominee Barry Levy for readings from their new books As If (Levy) and Primary Instinct (Reiter) and Global Cooling (Reiter).

David will also talk about developments at IP, Australia's most innovative independent press.
