CQUniversity performing arts graduate Jessica Havens is continuing her education in America with a Masters of Worship Studies (song leading) degree at Virginia's Liberty University.
"Most recently I was in Manhattan, New York studying at the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, School for Film and Television (SFT)," Jessica says.

"It was a rigorous, but exhilarating 4-week program that offered me a challenging opportunity to explore acting techniques, camera performance skills, commercial basics, film and TV basics, improvisation and more, with a dedicated, professional faculty of working actors and directors.
"It also allowed me to earn 7 transferable college credits."
Jessica says that, even though CQUniversity's degree had a focus on theatre performance, it also included some Film and TV basics which assisted greatly with her studies at the SFT.

"As I had already earned my degree at CQUniversity, I felt I was at an advantage compared to other new students at SFT who had little experience within the performing arts industry.
"I received positive feedback from the teachers in regards to my acting technique. They noted my professionalism and could tell that I had previous performance experience, as when they gave instructions I responded quickly and the result of my work was of good quality."
Jessica credits the CQUniversity program for helping with her acceptance into SFT. Thousands auditioned but only 180 people were successful in gaining entrance.
