Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU resolves to restructure relationship with commercial partner

Central Queensland University Council has resolved to restructure its relationship with its major commercial partner, C_Management Services, to secure the University's long-term financial future and enhance its ability to invest in teaching and learning, research and community engagement activities.

CQU Council will forward its recommendation and detailed documentation to the Queensland Education Minister for further consideration, advice and any required approval.

CQU and CQU Council will provide no further public comment regarding the proposed restructure while the matter is under consideration by the State Government.
