Leslie Fox Bio

As a performer, Ms Fox has a wide breadth of experience.  In addition to several dozen solo and collaborative recitals performed with the standard repertoire in the past decade, she was previously the keyboardist for "The Fabulous Bel-Airs," and several other jazz and rock bands.  From 1999-2004, she performed on piano and keyboards for contemporary praise and worship bands to an average of 15,000 or more attendees each weekend in Chicago, Illinois.

Her love of teaching, and her interest in a variety of music and styles led her to the educational side of the music publishing industry.  Currently she is the Senior Keyboard Editor at the Neil A. Kjos Music Company, where she oversees acquisitions and technical editing for all of their keyboard publications.

Leslie holds a bachelor's degree in piano performance from George Mason University in Virginia, a masters degree in piano performance from Northwestern University in Illinois, and pursued doctoral studies at the University of Texas at Austin.  She has published articles in Keyboard Companion Magazine and in the Roland Keyboard Educator and has been trained in Suzuki, Harmony Road, and Kindermusik programs.   Prior to moving to San Diego, Ms. Fox was an Assistant Instructor at the University of Texas and an adjunct faculty member of Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois.
