Postgraduate numbers swell at CQU Mackay

The largest cohort of Central Queensland University Mackay postgraduate students met at the campus recently. Of the 16 students, nine are completing Doctoral study, with the remainder undertaking Masters or Honours degrees.

PhotoID:1264 CQU Mackay Head of Campus Associate Professor Phillip Clift expected the group would meet regularly to discuss research and study opportunities.

“Although the interests of these students are quite diverse, they often share common research methodologies and challenges when completing study at postgraduate level. The large number of students based at the Mackay campus should allow them to utilise the knowledge and expertise offered by a range of experienced researchers,” he said.

The students are completing studies relating to business, education, health, history, informatics and communication and science.
