Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Queensland Governor visits CQU

Queensland Governor Quentin Bryce met with CQU Rockhampton Vice Chancellor Glenice Hancock recently on-campus.

PhotoID:1131 Ms Bryce who has been in the Governor’s position for four months visited Rockhampton as part of her regional Queensland commitment.

Ms Bryce has had an active career in law teaching at the University of Queensland for 15 years before entering Queensland Government in 1984 as the Director of Queensland Women’s Information Service.
