Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Qld Nursing Council committees include appointments from CQU

The Queensland Nursing Council has appointed CQU staff members to some of its key committees for the next 3 years.

CQU Rockhampton academic Julie Bradshaw has been appointed as a member of the Registration Committee.

Head of the School of Nursing & Health Studies, Dr Lorna Moxham has been appointed as a member and Chair of the Mental Health Review Committee.

The chair role also gives Dr Moxham a seat straight on to the Education Committee.
