Rockvegas gets a taste of Las Vegas

Rockhampton has been known as Rockvegas for many years and now it can get a taste of Las Vegas, thanks to a new production at the Pilbeam Theatre.

PhotoID:175 Vegas Showstoppers will be presented from 2.30pm on Sunday, September 8. It is a celebration of Las Vegas in dance, song and music including classics from stars including Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey and Peter Allen.

Apart from a stage full of dancers and colourful costumes, there will be two showbands, solo singers and Australia's leading drum master Grant Collins.

The production will feature the cream of talent from Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music's music theatre, jazz and performing arts programs (from both Mackay and Rockhampton) as well as musicians from Capricornia Silver Band.
