Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Newsreaders of Year chosen 

The male and female winners of the CQU-supported Newsreader of the Year competition were announced on Thursday night at Rockhampton's City Centre Plaza and broadcast live to air on 98.5 fm, Radio 4YOU.

PhotoID:2641 Female winner Ainsley Windress (Yeppoon State High) and male winner Sean Mailander (Emmaus College) were both finalists in the Round 3 stage of the competition and went on to be chosen as overall winners.
