Funding Bodies in Sync Re Music Group

Two regional arts funding bodies and CQU's Conservatorium have thrown their support behind Rockhampton Concert Orchestra's ambitious projects for 2002.

Funding from Rockhampton City Council and Arts Queensland has been allocated to the orchestra via the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) committee. Funding from Central Queensland University has been allocated via the Regional Centre of the Arts (RCotA) committee.

Ms Ilott said the diverse support was crucial in supporting four major projects, including the concert with international pianist Ali Wood in April.

She said the next major concert was the third annual Night of the Proms at the Pilbeam Theatre on July 27, featuring renowed choral conductor Christopher Kiver.
