Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Lama Choedak offers free talk and guided meditation 

Visitor Lama Choedak is offering a free talk and guided meditation session from 6pm-8pm on Friday, September 17, at CQU Rockhampton Building 32 (follow the signs).

He is also leading a Vajrasattva Purification Retreat on the weekend of September 18-19 at CQU Rockhampton Bldg 33 (follow the signs). Details of costs and registration are available via 4930 9486 or 4926 6090.

Vajrasattva is the Buddha of confession and forgiveness and the Vajrasattva practice is considered a powerful way to purify the downfalls and negative deed created in the past.
