There were also stalls to cater for the children including the Central Highlands Science Centre, face painting, activities, balloons and a free sausage sizzle for everyone.

Campus tours took place throughout the day, along with demonstrations and performances by the Emerald Gymnastics and Trampoline Club and Emerald Dance Centre.  In the afternoon, singer Christian Tryhorn performed to entertain the crowds.

Staff from CQUniversity in Rockhampton made the trip out to Emerald to assist the local staff in ensuring the day ran smoothly.

Emerald Campus Coordinator Gai Sypher said she was very pleased with the attendance on the day.

"It was wonderful to see so many people visit the campus. I believe the Open Day has lifted the profile of the campus and hopefully will result in increased enrollments for next year," Mrs Sypher said.
