Lion prowls at Gold Coast

There were no fireworks but plenty of loud noise and excitement with the arrival of the Lion Dancers during Chinese New Year celebrations for CQU Gold Coast International Campus.

The lions, drums and cymbals may have scared away evil spirits from the Gold Coast campus but they only attracted, entertained and impressed the student population.

While the Lion wove his magic, everyone enjoyed a wonderful Asian buffet catered by the campus neighbours from the Korean church.

The soaking rain on the Gold Coast didn't dampen anyone's spirits and, going by Chinese folklore, the rain should mean staff and students at the Gold Coast will have a very prosperous year!
