Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU helps launch Queensland Resources Expo

CQU has agreed to be a foundation supporter of QREX - the Queensland Resources Expo due to be held from May 23-26 next year in Rockhampton.

Coordinated by Rockhampton Tourist and Business Information, the event will include a trade show, a conference, site tours, seminars, workshops and demonstrations.

Rockhampton Showgrounds will be the main venue.

CQU is represented on the organising committee by Dr Colin Greensill from the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Health.
