Just Musical offers extra dose of song and dance

Lovers of music theatre are in for a treat in October with the production of Just Musical! at Rockhampton's Pilbeam Theatre.

The major production of the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (Rockhampton Campus) second-year Bachelor of Performing Arts students and CQU Capricornia Players features high energy, spectacular dance and wonderful songs.

Conservatorium lecturer Emma Killion said a special feature is the presentation of excerpts from ‘Singin’ in the Rain’, the choreography for which was specially arranged by Wayne Scott Kermond – the star of the recent Brisbane season of the show.

Ms Killion said the October production also features the best numbers from ‘Cats’, ‘A Chorus Line’, ‘Chicago’, ‘West Side Story’ and many others.

The Cats segment will be presented by Capricorn School of Dancing.

Just Musical! will be staged from 3pm on Sunday, October 13, at Rockhampton's Pilbeam Theatre. Tickets range from only $5.
