Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

'Pajama Game' comes to Conservatorium 

The Bachelor of Music students are at it again, rehearsing day and night for their second major production this year 'The Pajama Game'. 

Director, Kim Hardwick started work on the production last Monday with the students ready for the show to open next Thursday.

The Pajama game is a two and a half hour musical show including interval and is all about employees of the Sleeptite Pajama Factory who are looking for a whopping seven and a half cents an hour increase and they won't take no for an answer!

The first show will be on Thursday August 16 at 8pm, followed by performances on Friday August 17 at 8pm, and Saturday August 18 at 2pm and 8pm.
