The University of Queensland Business School's Julie Walker was crowned UniJobs' 2008 Lecturer of the Year.

Lecturer of the Year is an initiative from UniJobs, Australia's University Job Website, which is dedicated to promoting and rewarding the nation's higher education sector.

"Nominations from CQUniversity were very strong this year," UniJobs Director, Jarrod Kanizay said. "No other competition in Australia encourages students and staff to nominate their own Lecturers."

"It makes the competition very fulfilling for academics as students have the opportunity to show their appreciation to their favoured lecturer who may otherwise not have been recognised for their excellent teaching skills."
