Two songs from 'Saltwater Songs: Indigenous Maritime Music from Tropical Australia' have been licenced by BBC Television for the travel series 'Ray Mears Goes Walkabout', a focus on bushcraft and survival techniques.
'High Tide in the Mangrove' by Aboriginal didjeriduist and dancer David Hudson from Cairns and 'Mene Mene/Sanarima' by the Saima Torres Strait Islander Cultural Group from Rockhampton were produced by CQU Associate Professor Karl Neuenfeldt and Nigel Pegrum of Pegasus Studios in Cairns.
The songs were recorded as part of a community CD project funded by CQU's Merit Grant scheme.
