Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Costume call a milestone for Kiss Me Kate 

There's been no rest for the dressmakers but costumes are finally ready for the production of Kiss Me Kate in Mackay next month.

PhotoID:173 The major production of Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music will be staged from 8pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights (August 22-24), with matinees at 11am on the Thursday and Friday and at 1pm on the Saturday. Bookings are via CQCM on 4940 7800.

Conservatorium student Natalie Ridoutt and lecturer Garrick Jones have been busy preparing the costumes, and they got together with lead actress Emily Fraser recently to complete the fittings.
