Costume call a milestone for Kiss Me Kate

There's been no rest for the dressmakers but costumes are finally ready for the production of Kiss Me Kate in Mackay next month.
The major production of Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music will be staged from 8pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights (August 22-24), with matinees at 11am on the Thursday and Friday and at 1pm on the Saturday. Bookings are via CQCM on 4940 7800.
Conservatorium student Natalie Ridoutt and lecturer Garrick Jones have been busy preparing the costumes, and they got together with lead actress Emily Fraser recently to complete the fittings.
Kiss Me Kate is a musical rendition of Shakespeare's 'Taming of the Shrew', complete with a jazzy score by Cole Porter, some lusty singing and sparkling dance numbers.
