Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

SCINEMA coming to CQU Mackay

Central Queensland University (CQU) Mackay campus will once again host SCINEMA, the annual science film festival, in conjunction with National Science Week.

PhotoID:3205 This is the third year that CQU Mackay has held this event at its campus.

This year, 10 films will be shown - all films have a general classification and are suitable for all ages. Admission is free.

SCINEMA is a partnership of the CSIRO, Cosmos Magazine and the National Museum of Australia.

Sessions will commence at 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday in Buildings 1, 6 and 20.
