CQU Golden Key recognises top students

The Central Queensland University Golden Key International Honour Society Chapter inducted 352 new members during the 2005 Certificate Ceremony recently.
About 60 members attended the official recognition ceremony.
Three honourary members inducted into the CQU Golden Key Chapter were CQU Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Rickard; CQU Student Services, Manager, Mary McKavanagh; and ABC Rockhampton's Program Maker, Craig Zonca.
Australia and New Zealand Golden Key Regional Director Dean Butters attended the ceremony.
The new members joined the other 2000 CQU students who are members of the society.
The society is an internationally recognised, non-profit organization with nearly 350 chapters across the globe.
President of the CQU Chapter, Constance Moore said Golden Key invites the top 15% of university students to become members of the society.
\"Recognising and encouraging scholastic achievement, Golden Key awards its members over $400 000 annually through 17 different scholarship and award programs,\" Ms Moore explained.
\"Members are connected to exclusive career opportunities and assistance through Golden Key’s partnerships with major corporations and graduate programs.
\"The Society provides campus and community service opportunities enabling personal growth and leadership development, as well as collaborating with university faculty and administrators to develop and maintain high standards of education.".
