Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Papers sought for event focused on technology for developing nations 

CQU academics Dr Amoakoh Gyasi-Agyei and Dr Yeboah Gyasi-Agyei are leaders in coordination of the International Conference on Adaptive Science and Technology for Developing Nations, due to be held in Ghana December 10-12, 2007.

The paper submission deadline for this event is August 30.

Amoakoh, a Telecommunications and Electronics Engineer, is the general organising chair for the world event while Yeboah, a Hydrology and Water Engineer, is leading the Water Management and Civil Engineering segment. Both CQU academics are on the Australian Region Liaison and International Advisory committees.
