Published on 14 September, 2004
CQU has a significant involvement in the CQU Waste 2004 event being held today (Thursday, September 16).
Organiser David Moy, from the Waste Management Association of Australia (Qld), is also an adjunct staff member with the James Goldston Faculty of Engineering and Physical Systems.
The event is being held in the Leo Zussino Building (the Gladstone Engineering Centre at CQU Gladstone).
Faculty Dean Professor Elizabeth Taylor AO is delivering a keynote address on sustainability in Central Queensland.
Several CQU engineering students are attending as observers and one of the sessions covers a new Networks of Interested Parties (NIP) process developed by CQU doctoral candidate Flavio Coelho.
The event also involves members of the Central Queensland Local Government Association, the Environmental Protection Authority and industry representatives.
Pamela Tummers, a WMAA Committee member from Bechtel, is the Gladstone representative assisting with the seminar organisation.
