CQU hosts CEO of Asian education network with view to expansion

Central Queensland University Rockhampton this week hosted Hartford Holdings CEO Vincent Wee, to renew links and to discuss the strengthening and expansion of educational partnerships in Asia.
The Singapore-headquartered Hartford Holdings Ltd is one of Asia's leading educational services management companies.
CQU has been working with Hartford since 1999 and is currently using its network to offer degree programs in Singapore, Malaysia and Chengdu, China. Mr Wee is responsible for the overall management, operations,strategic planning, marketing and business development of Hartford Holdings.
While in Rockhampton from March 5-10, Mr Wee met with senior management, faculty leaders and international education staff from CQU. He also attended a CQU Rockhampton graduation ceremony.
CQU Dean of International Programs Professor Debbie Clayton said CQU was delivering a Biomedical Science degree program via Hartford at a time when the Singaporean Government had identified biotechnology education as a priority.
"Programs to support workforce upskilling in the Biotechnology Industries are the sort of expansion we are looking at in Asia with help from Hartford," Professor Clayton said.
