Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Nurse academics happy with sales of clinical survival guide 

CQU Nursing academics Kerry Reid-Searl, Dr Trudy Dwyer, Dr Lorna Moxham and Jacqueline Ryan are happy with sales of their new book, the \'Student Nurse Clinical Survival Guide\'.

PhotoID:3331 Dr Moxham, who is Head of the School of Nursing & Health Studies, said the team had a second book \"on the proposal table already\".

Publisher Pearson Education Australia has reported that an initial print run sold out before it arrived in the warehouse and 2500 of the next re-print of 3000 copies have been sold quickly.

A representative of the publisher said \"the major customers are in South Australia, Tasmania, NSW and Queensland. The sales reps are all delighted with the book and are so enjoying selling it\".
