Workshop to reveal resource and time saving methods

A two-day workshop designed to show organisations how to the use the least amount of resources and time will be offered at Central Queensland University Mackay from November 17.

Facilitator Kati Jacobs said current workplace conditions meant it was vital managers understood methods for reducing costs.

“Project management is important as the employee base is shrinking and there are more people retiring than entering the workplace,” she said.

“As a result of these changes, work has to be broken into pieces and employees are working on more than one project at a time.” “The workshop will assist people running large or small projects and allow them to organise the work into an achievable schedule and flow.” The sessions will cover project goals and constraints, risk assessment, work breakdown structure and an overview of the tools required to develop sustainable systems.

Should five or more people from the same organisation attend they are encouraged to bring a current project to work on in lieu of the case study provided.

Enrolment numbers are limited. For further details telephone Heather Rossiter on 4923 2112.
