Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU Sydney International Campus academics (pictured from left) Dr Egun Gide and Ms Meena Jha were recently congratulated by Professor Ross Lehman, Teaching & Learning Coordinator.

PhotoID:2179 Ms Meena Jha has presented her paper titled: Re-using Code for Modernising of Legacy Systems at the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Conference on Software Technology and Engineering Practice, September 24-25, 2005 in Budapest, Hungary.

The paper deals with architecture recovery. Ms Meena Jha received support from C-MS’ Professional Development Program to attend.

Dr Ergun Gide has been invited to be an Editorial Board member for the Contemporary Management Research journal. The journal is a double-blind, refereed publication for all fields of management.

Dr Ergun Gide has published over 40 refereed papers and chapters in books. His research interest is in e-commerce system development and implementation, smart e-commerce strategies, e-commerce project management, web engineering, web-based information systems, intelligent e-manufacturing business applications. He has had a wide range of e-commerce consultancy experience in educational institutions as well as in the manufacturing and service industries, both in Australia and overseas.
