Melbourne celebrates Islamic festival

CQU Melbourne International Campus celebrated the Eid-Ul-Fitr on October 15.

The Islamic festival Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrates the end of Ramadan, a month-long period in which Muslims fast between dawn and sunset. The fast is broken with the sighting of the new moon, marking the start of the Eid.

Baklava (a Middle Eastern sweet) was offered to students and staff. Brochures were also distributed at the Campus to promote cultural awareness.
