Three CQU researchers were recognised for quality research at the 7th International CINet (Continuous Innovation Network) Conference in Lucca, Italy, last week.
Dr Claudine Soosay and Professor Paul Hyland from the Faculty of Business & Informatics presented their paper entitled “A Case Study on Knowledge Transfer as an Integrative Approach to Competitive Advantage” and Karen Becker, Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Education, presented her paper entitled “Unlearning: a people development issue for sustainable change and innovation”.
Both papers were highly commended in the Best Paper Awards. The awards recognised only 3 of the 69 papers accepted for the conference.
Professor Hyland said it was an outstanding result for CQU, with comments made at the conference that CQU was the best performer of regional universities at the event.
Researchers from 19 countries presented their work on Continuous Innovation at the conference. About 85 researchers attended.
The theme of the Conference was “CI and Sustainability – Designing the road ahead”. Papers addressed the organisational, strategic, social and environmental aspects of sustainable innovation.
Also attending the conference was CQU’s Dr Phil Bretherton and Mario Ferrer.
All 5 CQU participants are members of CINet, a global network set up to bring together researchers and industrialists working in the field of Continuous Innovation.
