CQU nominees at awards for business-education collaborations

Two CQU projects were nominees for the Business/Higher Education Round Table (BHERT) awards night in Melbourne on November 14.

The BHERT Awards recognise outstanding achievement in collaboration in research and development and education and training.

PhotoID:3778 One of CQU's nominated projects, involving Dr Yeboah Gyasi-Agyei, was the Centre for Railway Engineering's collaboration with Queensland Rail's Infrastructure Services Group to fast-track and nurture grass cover in order to prevent erosion of earthworks throughout the export coal rail network.

Another nominated CQU project, involving Dr Lorna Moxham, was the collaboration with Queensland Health's Rockhampton District Mental Health Service for the development of a course on 'The Psychiatric Consumer'.

Neither of the CQU projects was a winner, but they gained recognition via the awards process.
