Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Rocky to host weekend of 'international cricket' 

The CQUniversity Chancellor's Challenge Cup Cricket Tournament is planned to involve visiting international students and Australian players in a round-robin series of limited-overs matches at the Rockhampton Campus.

It will be held on the weekend of August 16-17.

The international students will travel from campuses at Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney especially to compete alongside students and staff from Rockhampton.

A range of nationalities is involved, with players from Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
