Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU marks 7th graduation ceremony in Hong Kong 

CQU will tomorrow (Thursday, Nov 3, from 7.30pm Grand Ballroom 1-2, 6/F Royal Plaza Hotel, 193 Prince Edward Road West, Mongkok, Kowloon) mark its 7th graduation ceremony in Hong Kong.

Those attending will include CQU’s Chancellor Rennie Fritschy, Vice-Chancellor Professor John Rickard, the Dean of Informatics & Communication Professor Kevin Tickle and Hong Kong College of Technology Principal Chan Cheuk Hay.

The 38 graduates of 2005 will receive their awards from the faculties of Business & Law and Informatics & Communication.

CQU teaches Hong Kong students in partnership with the Hong Kong College of Technology and also welcomes many Hong Kong students annually to its network of Australian campuses. ENDS.
