Central Queensland University’s Careers and Employment Service is promoting partnerships with industry in Gladstone to secure casual paid employment for enrolled CQU students on the Gladstone Campus.

These structured work placements allow employers to recruit students through the Careers and Employment Service free of charge to fill their fluctuating work demands while also giving students valued work experience in real world situations.

Saskia Dyke from 'Versestyle' in Gladstone has been extremely supportive of the structured work placements for enrolled CQU students on Gladstone Campus.

“My first CQU student was excellent and she has used the experience working for us to progress to a full-time role and now I've recently employed my second CQU student and it's working well.” “She is gaining income and experience while she is studying and I am gaining the educated support for my business needs.”.

By employing CQU students early in their programs an employer can nurture the candidates into their organisation, transforming students into potential employees upon graduation.
