UniNews style tips

If approached to include an on-campus event not involving CQU, then can do so as long as it is free of charge, non-commercial in nature and of interest to staff or students. Eg. room bookings sometimes schedule free Buddhist meditation sessions (which would be okay to include) and also property investment seminars (which would probably be too commercial).

Jpeg photos at medium resolution please approx 250 pixels and approx square in format.

We have found an antidote to a dearth of paragraph turns is to delete all space at the end of the line and then press RETURN again (although this does not work when there are " marks at the end for some reason). The answer for close quotes cases is to reduce the use of the close quotes wherever possible and/or to use an extra full point after the close quote. In the longer-term we might find a solution via tech support.

We'll go for % instead of per cent from now on please.
