Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Property industry trends to be discussed 

Property industry trends will be discussed during a half-day conference to be based in Rockhampton and videoconferenced to Bundaberg, Mackay, Gladstone and Noosa.

The event arranged by CQUniversity will involve property sector identities, legal experts, academics and students enrolled in the Bachelor of Property degree.

It will be held from 1pm-5.30pm on Friday, August 10, at Rockhampton Campus and video-linked to the other sites.

There will be updates from the Australian Property Institute and discussion of town planning, the Personal Property Securities Act, CQ regional development, valuation evidence in Family Law courts, and retail and shopping centre management trends.
