Marketing register developed at Community Relations

A register of all University marketing and promotional material is being developed to ensure CQU complies with legislation and corporate identity requirements.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International and Corporate) Eric Laakso said the University now required all Faculties, Divisions and Units that produce marketing materials for students to send a copy of all current material to Community Relations for inclusion in the register.

Manager Corporate Publications, Leonie Challacombe said that because of new ESOS legislation it was extremely important to keep track of all publications that are produced by the University.

“We are setting up the register so there is one central store of all marketing materials that carry the CQU logo,” Ms Challacombe said.

“If we are audited or need to refer to information that we have provided to students that may have influenced their enrolment, it will be available more easily.

Marketing materials are defined as any material (both print and/or electronic) that a student may have access to prior to enrolment.

CQU staff are being asked to forward one copy of all brochures, pamphlets etc that are produced for their area, regardless of whether it is professionally printed or is just printed in-house. Copies of the corporate design program fliers are not required.

Send all materials to the Manager Corporate Publications, Community Relations, Building 352.

Any questions can be directed to Leonie on extension 2549 or l.challacombe@cqu.edu.au.
