From Crime Scene Forensics to Productive Pedagogies, the latest education technology was showcased this week at CQU Mackay when more than 100 second and third-year Bachelor of Learning Management students attended a Showcase Forum.
CQU lecturer and organiser Pam Gargett said the presentations were designed to demonstrate to students the practical applications of knowledge gained across their courses of study, and to showcase current, cutting-edge practices in local schools.
“This was a wonderful opportunity for students to gain exposure to excellent initiatives that are being implemented at local sites. The presenters were dynamic and enthusiastic about their areas of expertise and the students were obviously captivated by the presentations,” said Ms Gargett.
Students were treated to presentations by senior educators Alun Tunnah, from the Centre for Science Excellence at Pioneer State High, Glen Hankinson and Donna Phillips from Sarina State School, Cheryl Mandryk from Education Queensland, Tina Solas from Slade Point State School, Sally-Anne Rolfe from Victoria Park State School, Laurie Shepherd from Andergrove State School and David Heldsinger of CQU.
