Bundaberg’s Karen Seary has been recognised as one of CQU’s best teachers.
Ms Seary has been awarded with a Teaching Award – one of 12 teachers recognised across all of CQU’s campuses.
Awarded for her contribution to the STEPS (Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies) program and the learning support areas, Ms Seary is an exceptional teacher whose strategies for teaching and learning are engaging and innovative.
She has a unique teaching style where she brings out the best in her students and they recognize and appreciate this dedication and individual attention.
“I am very honoured to be the recipient of a Teaching Excellence Award. This recognition encourages me to continue striving to encourage students in their quest of further learning through CQU's highly regarded STEPS program,” Ms Seary said.
“As an educator, if I can successfully instill in students a love of learning, inspire a confidence in their own ability to succeed, and enthusiastically guide their learning, wonderful outcomes are possible.”.
The Excellence in Teaching Awards is an annual award that has been established to provide public recognition of CQU’s best teachers.
Ms Seary is now eligible to be nominated for a Carrick Teaching Award and a Citation.
