The Bachelor of Learning Management (BLM) is one of Australia's leading education degrees.  Ranked among the best in the nation, our unique program combines rigorous university coursework with frequent and regular placements in schools, giving our students opportunities to put educational theory into classroom practice.

Noosa Academic Manager Susan Richardson said CQUniversity's BLM graduates are highly sought after in the workplace.

"They combine workplace readiness with a futures orientation that sees them well placed to meet the educational challenges of current and future classrooms," she said.

The BLM is a four-year teaching qualification that may be ‘fast-tracked' and completed in just 3 years.

Students can qualify as Early Childhood, Primary or Secondary and VET (Vocational Education & Training) teachers.

Interestingly, unlike Early Childhood degrees offered by some other institutions where a qualification ends at Year 3, CQUniversity's BLM (EC) qualifies graduates to teach to Year 7.    Generous credits are available to people who have a Diploma of Children's Services.

The BLM Secondary & VET offers a comprehensive range of teaching specializations including Maths & Science, the Social Sciences, English, Media Studies, HPE, Home Economics and Hospitality.   People with trade qualifications can embark on a career change and receive generous credits towards a BLM (Sec & VET).

Another option is the GDLT - Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching - a one-year, postgraduate qualification in Primary or Secondary teaching, suitable for people switching to education from other career backgrounds.

CQUniversity Noosa has strong partnerships with schools all over the coast and hinterland in both the public and private sectors.   These schools provide learning opportunities for students through professional placements.

The CQUniversity facility is in the Noosa Medical & Professional Centre at 90 Goodchap Street in Noosaville. Details are available via 07 5440 7000, but anyone is welcome to drop by for advice from the friendly staff.

CQUniversity has had a presence on the Sunshine Coast since 2001 when it established a centre at Pomona for Learning Management students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The Noosaville facility continues the steady relationship CQUniversity has with Education Queensland and schools throughout the Sunshine Coast.

The Noosaville facilities include computer access (including CQUniversity's electronic library services), a lecture space, tutorial rooms, offices for staff based in the area and a new simulated ward for nursing, including a state of the art mannequin that allows students to practice advanced heath assessment techniques and life support measures.
