CQU supports Association of Financial Services Educators Annual Conference

CQU Faculty of Business and Informatics were proud sponsors the Association of Financial Services Educators Annual Conference 'Developing Quality Educators' held Sydney recently.
The conference covered topics such as shifts in financial services education, information mapping, facilitation, and technological changes. The conference was well attended by CQU staff; Gold Coast International Campus Director and a Director of AFSE , Associate Professor Ken Bruce, Lecturer Helen Yang from CQU's Melbourne campus, Commerce Lecturer Rakesh Gupta and Head of Commerce Beth Tennent from Rockhampton campus. Delegates from other financial services educators, insurance and financial institutions attended the conference.
Head of Commerce Beth Tennent said the Faculty of Business and Informatics plans to introduce a Bachelor of Financial Planning in 2008. The Association of Financial Services Educators Ltd (AFSE) is an association of educators from industry and academia whose purpose is to foster the exchange of ideas and research in relation to financial services.
