ITD can assist faculties with videos

Are you intending to videotape your teaching or faculty lectures during the upcoming Autumn term? If so, ITD-Flexible Delivery Support can assist you. There are two methods of recording: VAL or ISL. Video-assisted learning (VAL) involves conducting your session live to a Rockhampton audience which is recorded and a 'master tape' is archived for future short-term use. Upon request, copies are then sent to libraries at CQU regional and/or CQU international campuses.

PhotoID:400 Whilst teaching VAL services and taping is generally funded for teaching, there are some tape costs involved if you are intending to have recordings sent to the CQU International campuses (eg. Melbourne, Fiji) or require personal copies.

Central Queensland campuses’ teaching tapes are funded. For mainland International Campuses tapes cost $4.50. For overseas campuses (ie. Hong Kong,Singapore, Fiji) tapes cost $2.80. For lecturer/personal copies tapes cost $2.80.

ISL or videoconference sessions involve conducting your session live to a Rockhampton and/or remote audience at other campuses or external sites. If required, a 'master tape' can be recorded of your videoconference session and is archived for future short-term use. Upon request, copies are then sent to required external addresses and/or libraries at CQU regional and/or CQU international campuses. ISL recording services are not funded and there are tape costs involved. For Central Queensland campuses, Mainland International campuses, tapes costs $10.00 - includes post-production and shipping costs. For the cost is $10.00 per tape - includes post-production and shipping costs. For Overseas campuses (ie. Hong Kong,Singapore, Fiji) it costs $10.00 per tape - includes post-production requirements. For lecturer/personal copies is costs $10.00 per tape - includes post-production and shipping costs.

With both methods of recording, your master tapes receive a complimentary 12-month shelf reservation in the ITD tape Library (just in case you need extra or back-up copies of your material). After this time, we'll contact you and make any necessary arrangements to have your material dispatched out to you. If required, we can upon negotiation, keep your material in storage for continued, on-going use.

If you're intending to utilise our ISL record services, please notify us as soon as possible as we need to finalise arrangements before start of week 1, Autumn term.
