Livingstone Shire pictorial history selling well

A pictorial history of Livingstone Shire entitled 'From The Bush to the Bays', the latest publication from CQU Press, is selling well in Yeppoon newsagents.

PhotoID:2611 This follows a well-attended community launch on Saturday, December 17, at the LSC Library in Yeppoon.

Publisher David Myers said the book was a lasting memento of the local region and its picturesque history.

Some of the 300 photos feature company picnics 100 years ago, the trains of the era to the coast, clothing and fashions, education and work places and primary industries.

The joint venture between CQU Press and Livingstone Shire Council was launched in a garden party atmosphere.Mayor Bill Ludwig delivered a speech to mark the occasion.
