Phul Subedi discusses the use of NIR in fruit quality assessmentTen growers from the Rockhampton Fruit and Vegetable Growers' Association have visited the Plant Sciences Group facilities at CQU Rockhampton (March 3).
Following presentations by Professor David Midmore on the contribution of Plant Sciences to Horticulture and by Sohail Qureshi on integrated pest management, the group visited the non-invasive fruit quality laboratory, with a presentation by Phul Subedi, and the glasshouse/screenhouse, with explanations on ongoing research on oxygation by Dr Surya Bhattarai and Lance Pendergast.
The group was impressed with the potential applications of Plant Science research to their enterprises.
