The program was conducted during the mornings each day with Darryl Stewart, State Director Victoria, opening the program and welcoming delegates to Melbourne and to the campus.

Then followed Professor Ken Hawkins, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) and CEO C Management Services, who opened the presentations with an introduction to the education system in Australia and a general overview of the CQUniversity Australian campuses.

The following six days involved presentations, including topics on the academic nexus, student support programs, student policies and the relevant rules and regulations relating to international students.

As well, the delegates were delighted to meet several Chinese students who discussed their experiences and how they coped in a new environment using the Student Support Services at CQUniversity.

Based in Chengdu, UESTC is a College and University of over 20,000 students specialising in IT and allied sciences.

The visiting staff, all leaders in their departments, are very keen to set up an articulation with CQUniversity and would love to see a course where students could, for example, study one year of their degree at UESTC then come to Australia to complete the next two years at CQUniversity.

This project stemmed from the General Manager Marketing and Recruitment, Danielle Horvath, who initiated the visit through her contacts in Chengdu.
