Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Childcare centre celebrates 10th birthday 

nGundanoo Imbabee Community Childcare Centre, Central Queensland University’s on-campus childcare centre in Rockhampton, will celebrate their 10th birthday and open day on Saturday 16 November, 2002.

PhotoID:345 The open day will be staged from 3 to 5pm with the main feature being an art exhibition which will be opened by the Mayor of Rockhampton, Councillor Margaret Strelow at 3pm.

The day promises to be fun for the whole family with rides and entertainment for the children. Food and drinks will be on sale.
