Showcase wine up for grabs

Organisers of the 2006 Learning and Teaching Showcase are offering random-draw door prizes for staff attending presentations during the event.

Staff can attend in person on the Rockhampton campus, or be present in one of the ISL rooms in Gladstone, Bundaberg and Mackay campus (or Emerald by arrangement).

PhotoID:2682 Winners of the door prizes, specially labelled Showcase wines, will be announced at the end of each session.

In addition, all people who register and attend Showcase seminars will go into the draw to win a ‘dinner for two’ at Rydges Capricorn Resort.

The dinner for two has kindly been donated by Rydges Capricorn Resort. The resort has given an extended deadline on the dinner voucher so that should a staff member not on the Rockhampton campus win the prize they will have time to take advantage of the offer.

The 2006 Showcase has an exciting array of CQU and invited guest speakers planned over the three days, February 8-10.

There is also a Showcase Reception being hosted on the Gladstone campus.

Each year the Showcase is a major event on the CQU staff development calendar but it is about more than just staff development.

The seminars and social functions of the Showcase provide an opportunity for staff at CQU to hear what their colleagues are doing, to engage in discussion about issues impacting on higher education in Australia and overseas, and to catch up with their colleagues in a friendly and supportive environment.

The offering of door prizes is recognition on the part of the Showcase organisers that staff members who make the time to participate in the Showcase are finding time in their very busy schedules to support CQU initiatives.
