Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Media arranges candidate forums in Rocky and Bundaberg 

Two media organisations have arranged election candidate forums on CQUniversity's Rockhampton and Bundaberg campuses this week. 

WIN TV's Meet the Candidates (Capricornia) event was held on Wednesday evening (Aug 18) on Rockhampton Campus.

This event was presented by WIN TV's Paul Taylor and attracted six candidates.

Meanwhile, Bundaberg NewsMail's forum for Hinkler candidates will be moderated by CQUniversity's Ron Bishop (who is also Bundaberg's Chamber of Commerce president).

It will be held from 6pm this evening (Thursday, August 19) at CQUniversity Bundaberg's Building 1 Lecture Theatre.
