Pauline's home is near Versailles in France and she's in the second year of study at the Institut Polytechnique LaSalle Beauvais .

Her 4 months based in Rockhampton and another month working on an Australian farm will help her gain credit, so she will return to third-year studies next year.

Pauline is tending towards animal-related studies when she gets to specialise, so she was keen to help koala researcher Dr Alistair Melzer.

So far, she has collected data about koala habitats on Brampton Island and will do field studies in the Tambo area and St Bees Island in future.
