Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Campus team plans whacky bowls fundraiser 

Rockhampton students and staff are encouraged to wear 'whacky whites' and attend a lawn bowls evening to raise funds for the Queensland Cancer Fund.

PhotoID:3053 A campus-based Relay for Life team called 'Boogie For Life' has organised the fun event, from 4pm on Saturday, April 22, at the North Rockhampton Bowls Club.

The evening will include a free barbecue meal, raffles, prizes, games, giveaways and live entertainment.
